Ivanov, Makarov & Partners is a Russian law firm established by highly professional lawyers, attorneys at law, patent and trademark attorneys whose experience encompasses years of practice in intellectual property matters (for more details go to Who we are).
Our mission is to provide high quality legal services and extensive legal protection of the IP rights in the Russian Federation and abroad. Our experience enables us to cover almost every need in intellectual property protection including patents, trademarks, copyright, licensing and franchising, competition, advertising, due diligence, appraisal of rights etc.
The main emphasis in our work is made on intellectual right prosecution and litigation since we strongly believe that once acquired IP rights require good post-registration protection and legal care. In litigation we combine good knowledge of local enforcement practices with western standards, thus not only providing our clients with better services but also making our contribution into further development of the legal profession in Russia and ensuring better court practice.
Our litigators are authorized to appear before the arbitration and common courts of the Russian Federation in all instances. They have vast experience in case prosecution in many regions of Russia: Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Krasnodar, Tver and many others.
We have also established good practical cooperation with the Russian Patent and Trademark Office in application filings and contract registration. We are able to draft and file applications quickly and keep the clients fully informed of an application's status at any given time.
We use flexible fee policy offering our client a range of options from hourly billing to flat fees depending on the nature of a case, required services and clients' preferences.
Where possible we also perform pro bono work assisting individuals and non-commercial organizations in protecting IP rights in the public interest.
Responsiveness and transparency are our principles.
